USFL Trivia – Owner Of Team Who Ran Wrestling Promotions In 1970’s

USFL Trivia Question

Which United States Football League team owner (who never fielded his team) ran pro wrestling shows in the 1970’s?

Answer:

Eddie Einhorn co-founded the I.W.A. wrestling promotion.   He owned the rights to the Chicago franchise for the 1985 USFL season after buying the Chicago Blitz and went “dark” until he intended to field a team in the fall of 1986

Short Clip Of Lee Corso Coaching The USFL Orlando Renegades

Many football fans know Lee Corso from his television appearances related to college football.  Younger fans, however, may not know that he coached in the USFL.  This is one of the few publicly-available clips of him during his time with the 1985 Orlando Renegades.  It is featured here, although the footage quality is significantly poor, to show his tirade after losing a game on a last-second field goal when he attempted to call a time out.
